Upcoming tire collection dates

When improperly stored, tires are an easy place for mosquitoes to breed in large quantities. Disposing of old tires is a simple way to help prevent the development of mosquitoes in your area.

January blood drive
Midland County is teaming up with the City of Midland for a blood drive. The drive is Thursday January 12, 2023. The blood drive is to be held in the Board of Commissioners Room of the County Services Building. Appointment times are from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm. There are many appointment times still available.
You are able to make your donation appointment online. You will be allowed to make an appointment in available time slots. This link also allows you to search for other donation dates and sites if this drive is not convenient for you. You can also call 866-642-5663 or go to http://versiti.org/MI to schedule an appointment or ask questions about eligibility.

Midland center for the arts

Mid-Michigan's Landmark Destination for World-class Entertainment and Cultural Programming.

Our community enjoys the out of doors, there are close to 100 parks through out Midland County including the unique Pere Marquette Rail Trail, over 20 miles of well maintained riding await!

Chippewa nature center
Chippewa Nature Center is one of the largest private non-profit nature centers in the United States. Through the years, CNC has grown from its original 198 acre parcel and an all-volunteer staff to include over 1,500 acres, 40 staff members and hundreds of volunteers. Over 70,000 people visit CNC every year, including 1,000 Nature Day Campers and thousands of school children.

Parks & Recreation Commission

The responsibility of the Midland County Parks and Recreation Commission is to provide county-wide facilities capable of meeting the needs of all citizens. This is a big job, and one that is not taken lightly.

It is the goal of the Commission to provide visitors with the best recreation experience possible, in park and recreation areas that capitalize on unique local natural resources.

Midland County Parks are maintained at the highest caliber to ensure that your visit is an enjoyable one. Clean, safe and well-staffed parks are the Commission's highest priority.

Midland County Parks strive to make each park as barrier-free as possible for the convenience of visitors with limited mobility. All new facilities are built with maximum accessibility in mind. Individual parks are continuing their efforts to upgrade facilities so that everyone can enjoy what Midland County Parks have to offer.
