Maternal Infant Health Program


Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) is a Home Visiting program for pregnant women and infants with Medicaid insurance. MIHP provides support service to women and families so they have healthy pregnancies, and healthy infants. MIHP team includes a nurse, social worker, and registered dietitian who make visits in the home and/or office setting.

  • Prenatal education
  • Breastfeeding education and support
  • Infant nutrition/feeding education
  • Infant safe sleep and infant safety education
  • Infant development screenings and information
  • Referrals to community resources (basic needs, mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence) as needed
  • Car seat safety checks by a Certified Car Seat Technician
  • Breastfeeding counselors available
  • Infant weights and measurements
  • Fluoride varnish applications/oral health education
  • Lead screening
  • Coordination of services with medical care provider
